When Food Becomes an Idol

If God places something 1 and 2 on his top 10 list you better believe it’s important. He made a point of making sure we understood where he is to fall on our priority list when he wrote the 10 commandments. I am going to give you the opportunity to go look these up in Exodus 20. I … [Read more...]

Fit4God Chocolate Donuts (Gluten-Free)

Okay, big disclaimer here: THIS IS NOT HEALTH FOOD! We are all about eating healthy at Fit4God, but at the same time, we recognize that people have a desire for special treats on occasion and that food is about taste as well as nourishment. So, that said, here is a wonderful recipe for chocolate … [Read more...]

Food Diary: October 2012

Sweet potatoes cooked in the crockpot come out so perfectly moist. I make a few at a time, and keep them in the fridge. Half a sweet potato with pastured butter, sea salt and a touch of brown sugar is wonderful for breakfast.

Periodically I like to keep a food diary so people can see what a real person living Fit4God looks like. I'm a wife, mom to a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old, I … [Read more...]

Your Guide to Dairy

Is dairy a healthy food? Most people in the world do not eat dairy. And in fact, many people in the world find it disgusting that we Americans drink it. Once you've got all the ingredients made, the … [Read more...]

I’ve always had a very tight bond with my little boy, now going on seven years old and in first grade. Why are we hungry? I recently read a fascinating series on why we get hungry…and why some of us seem to be hungry even as we are gaining weight. The question is this: If we are gaining weight, we must be taking in more calories than we need. So why do we continue to feel hungry, and why do we … [Read more...]
